Frequently Asked Questions
IS AHRC A SCHOOL? IS IT ACCREDITED?
No. AHRC is a homeschool resource center. Our classes are meant to supplement your homeschool. Credits are given by homeschool parents for both courses taken at home as well as those taken elsewhere.
WHY CHOOSE AHRC?
We are so much more than a location for classes, a bookstore, or a coffeeshop – we are a community. Our heartfelt desire is to see parents supported so that they can help their students be successful in their journey, too. From homeschool coaching to fellowship with other parents while your children are in class, AHRC is a place to build lasting friendships, find support, and journey together!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Registration Fee: TBD per family per semester.
Class Fee: Varies; Teachers set their own rates for their classes and have their own payment process.
Materials Fee: Varies; Many classes require supplies! Materials fees are in addition to the class fee and are listed in the class description.
Admin Fee: Varies; These fees are paid directly to the Center depending on how long the class meets and which tier the class falls.
ARE THE TEACHERS CERTIFIED?
Not necessarily. Some of our teachers have certifications, but most are members of the community who have a passion and want to share it with others! All teachers are Christian and must sign a statement of faith to teach at the Center.
ARE PARENTS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE?
Parents are not required to teach or volunteer (but we love it when they do!) unless participating in one of our co-op programs. Parents must remain on-site while their younger children are attending classes and supervise their children when not in class.
DO YOU SELL XYZ CURRICULUM?
