Learn to Sew a Circle Skirt

Want to grow in your sewing skills? Circle skirts are a fun and easy way to gain experience in sewing and have a cute new clothing item! We will go through the math and making of an elastic waistband full circle skirt, a project perfect for beginning or experienced sewists.

Materials Needed: 

Provided: Elastic

Required: 2-3 yards of mid-weight fabric, depending on your waist measurement and desired skirt length (flannel or cotton may be easier for beginners), matching thread, and bobbin 

Preferred but will be can be shared by other class members: fabric scissors (no scissors that have been used to cut paper), measuring tape, pins, sewing machine, washable fabric marker/chalk, thread scissors, clothing iron.

Recommended Ages: 12 years and above

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine, basic knowledge of geometry
