TEACHSD

The Education Alliance of Christian Homeschoolers in South Dakota (TEACHSD), the organization formerly known as SECHE, was founded in 2002 by like-minded home educators who desired a group where their belief and acknowledgement of God was an integral part of the organization.

Originally formed to support home educating families through educational and social activities, the organization is continually adapting to the needs of the members it serves.

A non-profit 501(c)3 corporation with Board, Committee and membership representation from across the state and its members receive discounted HSLDA memberships.

Families for Alternative Instruction Rights in South Dakota (FAIRSD)

FAIRSD is dedicated to advancing, protecting and securing Alternative Instruction rights for families in South Dakota. All of the committee members are experienced homeschool parents and volunteers from around the state. Their website provides a quick link to the notification form and information about SD legal requirements for homeschooling. If you have questions about homeschool laws, check out their Resources/Law tab. Partner with them by making a donation to fund a lobbyist to be at the Capitol everyday of the legislative session to educate our legislators, monitor bills and advocate for our interests.
